What Is Hey! Say! JUMP Encore S?
Understanding the Performance
Encore S refers to a special encore live concert performance by Hey! Say! JUMP, one of the most successful J-pop boy bands under Sony Music Entertainment Japan and Johnny & Associates. The "S" designation typically denotes a specific tour or arena-level encore segment, and this particular video captures the group performing their greatest hits with full choreography and fan-engaging interactions.
The English-subtitled version was produced to make the performance accessible to international fans who cannot read Japanese but still want to fully experience the lyrics, stage banter, and member introductions. This is especially valuable for fans who discovered the group through viral clips and want deeper context.

Why You Should Watch with English Subtitles
Hey! Say! JUMP concerts are renowned for more than just music. The member interactions, comedy skits, and emotional speeches between songs are a defining feature of their live shows. Without subtitles, international fans miss roughly 30–40% of the concert experience — the very moments that build the deep connection fans feel with the group.
The Encore S performance specifically includes extended dialogue segments where members share personal stories, thank fans, and perform improvised banter. The English-subtitled version ensures no joke, sentiment, or announcement is lost.
Troubleshooting Common Problems
Subtitle Not Appearing?
Click the CC (Closed Captions) icon in your player. If the official English track is missing, try YouTube's auto-translate feature: go to Settings → Subtitles → Auto-translate → English. Note that auto-translate may not capture musical lyrics accurately.
Audio Sync Issues
Some re-uploaded versions suffer from audio desync. Always prefer the original upload from the official channel. If you're experiencing sync drift, try refreshing the page or switching to a different browser.
Region Lock or Unavailable Video
Johnny's Entertainment content is sometimes geo-restricted. If the video doesn't play in your country, try accessing through a official Johnny's digital platform such as Johnny's net or Plus Premium, which may have broader distribution rights.
Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ 1: Where can I watch Hey! Say! JUMP Encore S with English subtitles legally?
The primary legal source is the official Hey! Say! JUMP YouTube channel or the Johnny's Entertainment official channels. Search using the video identifier iY1liRy1t4Q. If the video is region-locked, the group's official DVD/Blu-ray releases — available through Tower Records Japan, Amazon Japan, or CDJapan — include English subtitle options and provide superior audio-visual quality. Streaming via Plus Premium (Johnny's official paid subscription service) is another reliable legal option for international subscribers.
FAQ 2: Are the English subtitles accurate for song lyrics?
Official subtitle tracks for Hey! Say! JUMP concerts generally provide meaning-based translations rather than literal word-for-word renderings. This approach prioritizes conveying the emotional intent and narrative of each song over strict linguistic accuracy. For lyrics-only translation, many fans cross-reference with lyric sites such as J-Lyric.net or Genius. Fan-subbed versions on community platforms sometimes offer more literal translations, but these carry higher risk of being taken down and may contain errors.
FAQ 3: What songs are included in the Encore S live performance?
The Encore S setlist typically features major Hey! Say! JUMP hits including "Ultra Music Power," "Genki Daiichi χ2 (Aruku Dakishime Suki ni Naru)," "Eye Love You," "Happy Summer Wedding," and "Dreams Come True." Exact track listings vary by concert date and venue. For the definitive setlist of the iY1liRy1t4Q performance, check the video description or comments section, where fans frequently pin detailed song-order information. The encore portion specifically highlights the group's most beloved tracks performed with full stage production and elaborate choreography.
